About Us
Coastal West Sussex is a Partnership of organisations that have joined together to champion the sustainable development of the coastal communities. Putting people at the heart of regeneration and working across traditional boundaries the partnership is forming the foundations for investment.
The Partnership brings together key stakeholders around the key economic issues that affect the coastal strip of West Sussex from Selsey and Chichester in the west through to Shoreham in the east. Partners are the five local authorities, SEEDA, the Learning & Skills Council, the NHS Trust, and representatives from further education, higher education, and the business community.
The Partnership was formed in 2004 and has supported over 25 initiatives including:
- The creation of the Arena Skills Centre in Bognor Regis supporting the development of vocational skills with a focus on construction.
- The development of the 5 Towns Network which up-skills regeneration professionals and promotes collaborative working across Coastal West Sussex.
- The establishment of Arun Enterprise Gateway an initiative to support the start-up and development of businesses.
- The Better Business Park project with a programme of environmental and collaboration improvements on industrial areas.
